Information
Guests are offered a guided tasting of the Fontefico wines, with a focus on the main features of the local vine varieties. The experience starts with a tour of the cellar, where winemaking and ageing techniques are explored. Guests are then led to the vineyards, for a walk among the vines to take a look at the features of the local vine varieties and organic farming techniques. Lastly they are offered a tasting and food. Try our local specialties to be savoured with our current vintages of three of our wines: “La canaglia” Pecorino Superiore, “Fossimatto” Cerasuolo Superiore and “Cocca di Casa” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. For each wine, guests will have one or more food pairings with the best Abruzzo has to offer in terms of cured meats, cheeses and typical recipes.
Guests can try additional current vintages by paying 5 euro for each extra wine, or opt for a glass of an Aglianico reserve vintage accompanied by a selection of exquisite Italian cheeses at 10 euro per person.
