Our cooking class is a unique introduction to our Abruzzo culinary traditions. Guests will actively participate in the preparation of two recipes: a starter or a second course and a first course. For example, the famous “pallotte cace e ove” or “melanzane ripiene”. Then the homemade pasta, such as “sagne appezzate”, “cavatelli” or “pasta alla chitarra”.
You will be taught by old style local women who really know their stuff, because nobody is better suited for the job! Everything in Fontefico is strictly authentic, and all dishes can easily be made at home.
After the cooking class, guests will enjoy a four course meal, inclusive of what they cooked earlier, as well as a tasting of 4 wines: “La canaglia” Pecorino Superiore, “Fossimatto” Cerasuolo Superiore, “Cocca di Casa” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and Titinge Riserva di Montepulciano or the Costetoste Aglianico selection. The tour of the vineyard and cellar takes place upon arrival.
